New Proposed Universal Prayer Hall : An Appeal
Dear Well wishers,
Ramakrishna Mission, Vijayawada is a branch centre of world renowned Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission having its headquarters at Belur Math, Howrah – West Bengal. This centre has two locations one in Vijayawada city and the other is in Sitanagaram under nearby Tadepalli Municipality.
In 1956, Sri Bapiraju and a group of ardent devotees of Sri Ramakrishna made their sincere efforts to start a centre in Vijayawada which was fulfilled in 1965. They formed an association called Ramakrishna Seva Samiti and established the present City Centre. Later, a new centre was opened at Sitanagaram, Tadepalli district. Further, the devoted, earnest and enthusiastic group succeeded in affiliating both these centres as the full-fledged branch of Ramakrishna Math and Mission in 2001. AT Sitanagaram along with other service activities two High Schools (English Medium and Telugu Medium) have been running since many years.
There is a prayer hall at Sitanagaram centre in which regular daily worship and other celebrations are being conducted for the past 20 years. There has been a proposal since the inception to build a suitable temple of appropriate design befitting the historic City, Vijayawada but such a proposal could not be implemented so far for lack of adequate financial and other resources. Now, we feel the necessity to build a universal temple for the devotees and spiritual aspirants.
We appeal to the generous public to donate liberally for the early completion of the Project. In this connection, we would like to reiterate that all our service activities depend entirely on the generous donors, devotees, institutions and well-wishers. We do not receive any grant from the government – either Central or the State. Hence, we appeal to you for help financially or otherwise in serving the humanity.

With the blessings of the Holy Trio, the construction of the Prayer Hall is proceeding.
Major part of the foundation work has been completed. Pillar work is in progress. We hope to commence Brickworks in the Prayer Hall .
