Digital Classes
Ramakrishna Mission High School is providing multimedia based instruction to the students by converting its classrooms to Digital Classrooms. A server based network system was implemented connecting all the classrooms. The software chosen is very user-friendly. The multimedia content is as per Andhra Pradesh State Board Syllabus and Textbooks. The school has created this facility for Teachers and Students to make the teaching-learning process very effective, highly enjoyable and less tedious.
The teachers are able to utilize the technology effortlessly. They are able to conserve their vocal energies and devote more time for clarifying the doubts of the students. The multimedia content is helping the teachers to present some difficult concepts to the students with much ease especially in group subjects.
The students too are showing lot of interest to attend the classes regularly. Multimedia content coupled with relevant explanation of teachers is helping the students to understand the concepts easily. It is also helping them for the long term memory retention of the subject.
Language teachers are also using Digital classrooms intelligently for teaching grammar.
Virtual Classes
To facilitate the students to learn from experts from different domains of knowledge all over the world without crossing the school boundaries, Ramakrishna Mission High School created a Virtual Classroom facility in its campus. Students are interacting seamlessly with eminent persons from Universities, IITs, IISc., Research institutions, Business establishments etc. from Chicago, New York, Boston, Seattle, New Delhi, Bangalore, Jaipur, Pune, Tirupati, Rajahmundry etc. With the expansion of their knowledge horizons in Physical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, genetics, communications, IT, Mathematics etc. the students are enhancing their self-confidence and developing their leadership qualities.
The Virtual Classroom Sessions are taking place all the days in a week. The sessions helped the students to broaden their outlook. They developed courage to freely converse with the leaders from different domains of knowledge either from India or abroad. Their rational abilities are increasing. There is improvement in their academic standards also. The teachers also are developing expertise in handling the new educational technologies and getting acquainted with different teaching methods.
Government of Andhra Pradesh is also giving lot of importance for implementing this concept in Government Schools.
