Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Former President of India, visited the Ashrama and Schools at Sitanagaram and interacted with the students for more than half an hour. He said that students should imbibe and spread Sri Ramakrishna's message of harmony of religions as the solution to the present day conflict of civilizations and religions. He exhorted the students to cultivate the three aspects of acquiring knowledge: creativity, righteousness and courage. He emphasised the need to use time properly and of having self-confidence: 'I can do it - We can do it'. Students and teachers received his message with eager enthusiasm.
